How To Avoid a Cease and Desist Order From Your Network Marketing Company

George Fourie chats to Natasha Hazlett about the huge ordeal that caused her to flush away 18 months of content and hard work down the drain.

It’s the email that no one wants to get: A cease and desist order from your Network Marketing Company to remove all your content from your MLM Blog within 48 hours to avoid legal action.

Natasha shares how you can avoid this happening to you and how to go about setting up your blog foundation the right way through attraction marketing.

How to Come Up With Blog Post Ideas

Last time, we talked about the importance of creating your “home base” for promoting yourself and establishing your own distinctive brand online.

Once you’ve created a WordPress blog as your “home base”, it’s time to begin adding fresh content. This is where many people stumble and draw a blank. It can be challenging to come up with things to write about, especially if you are fairly new to blogging. You understand the concept of promoting yourself as a leader, not just pitching your network marketing opportunity, but what do you blog about to accomplish this?

Don’t feel bad if you struggle at first to come up with topics for content. I believe that just about everyone doing this will occasionally experience times when they just don’t really know what they should write about.

ideas for blog posts and website articles

As home business builders and MLM network marketing leaders, we want to provide value and insight to our readers so that they have reason to keep coming back for more. Bear in mind that some visitors to your blog will be serious opportunity seekers, and many will visit a few times and review your content before they feel comfortable contacting you. Thus, you really want to put some thought and effort into this.

Here are a few ideas about what you can write about, which will work well for home business builders and network marketers. You have to use some imagination and integrate these ideas with your own personal experiences, but they can help you get started.

Think about your experiences in building your business and how you’ve overcome obstacles, and write about them. Talk about how and why you got started, and things you’ve learned along the way.

Many of your prospects will ask the same questions over and over – take these “frequently asked questions” and talk about how you answer them. Some common questions might be:

How much money can I make in network marketing?

How much time do I have to put into it?

Can I do this if I have a very tight budget?

Can I really build a business if I work a full-time job?

And so forth…you can build an entire post or article around questions like these.

Read a book or good article about MLM, home business, social networking, or self development.  Pick out parts that resonate with you, and write about them from your own experience and perspective.

Share and comment on a video (from YouTube or elsewhere) that you’ve seen that encouraged you or gave  you insight that helped you in your business.

When you read something online that inspires you, perhaps a business building tip or something that motivates you to action, create a post that relates it to your own personal experience. Don’t just copy it.

Create a “how to do something” post. This can be about anything you’ve learned to do for your business. For example: “How to Set Up an Autoresponder Follow-Up System” or “How to Notify Your Warm Market About Your New Network Marketing Business“.

Go to Google and search for keywords like “MLM message boards” or “network marketing forums”. Visit these boards and scan the topics. Look for questions and problems that networkers are asking about, and write posts for your blog with comments and answers.

Create list type posts. These tend to draw interest and attention, but don’t overdo them. For example: “Top 5 Things to Look For in an MLM Product” or “Ten Top Questions to Ask About a Network Marketing Opportunity“.

These are just a few ideas you can use to get your creative juices flowing. An important thing to keep in mind – just relax and be yourself. Write from your own perspective and experience, and don’t worry about being perfect. You’re not trying to be a professional writer, but rather a communicator. Prospects visiting your blog are interested in learning more about you and who you really are. Be yourself.

MLM Blogging – Here’s A Simple Way To Build Your Optin List

List Building Give Away Events

I have no idea why it took me so long to participate in a List Building Give Away Event, and after the seeing the optins fly in to my blogging list, I will be sure to ALWAYS participate in the future. I literally TRIPLED my MLM Blog list in one week by contributing to Stephanie Mulac’s “Ultimate Blogging Giveaway”.

What is a List Building Give Away Event?

A Give Away event is a list building STRATEGY that has become extremely popular with online marketers over the past few years. Depending on the theme of the event, it is possible to find HUNDREDS of other niche specific online maketers gathering to use the event to add more people to their optin subscriber base. The thought process behind this is very simple. Give away your best content for FREE, and you add highly targeted subscribers to your list.

The process is very simple. You join as a contributor, provide a free gift to the event, usually an eBook (this is what I offered), a piece of software or some other type of down-loadable digital product. You create a squeeze page with an optin subscription form on it. People fill in the form and join your list in exchange for the free gift. You can even participate in one of these give away events if you don’t have your own product. Many times the host of the give away will be able to provide you with a suitable product to give away, allowing you to build your own list and giving someone else’s product alot of exposure in exchange for the right to give it away as a gift.

Giveaway events come in a myriad of sizes and on a wide variety of topics. They are held throughout the entire year. To find possible events to join,  all you have to do is a quick search online for “giveaway JV” or “giveaway event” and you will get a listing of sites that are hosting giveaway events.

Things You Need To Know Before Joining A Give Away Event

I highly recommend that you sign up for a couple of these events BEFORE you decide to contribute a product. This is what I did so that I could learn how to become a quality contributor.

I learned how the process works. I was able to download some free products that interested me and (this is a big one) I joined the lists of other marketers so that I could study how they set up their giveaway system.  This is a great way to snoop on your competition (nothing beats market research and  intelligence).  It’s also a great way to see what kinds of products other people are giving away and you just might be able to get your hands on some relevant products that you could use to build your own list.

If you are not sure how to setup your own marketing funnel, pay attention to what the more experienced marketers are doing. They will send you a number of followup emails;  thanking you, offering you additional free training and free gifts. They will also try to lure you into their sales funnel with a valuable, low cost offer.  Pay attention to what these people are doing,  because they are very effective in converting subscribers from these give away events into paying customers :-).

But Rose, There Are No MLM Give Away Events

True … But, I want you to consider this:  as MLM Bloggers, we don’t blog about MLM all of the time. Most MLM Blogs that I read have exceptional content focused on:

  • Leadership
  • Social Media
  • Internet Marketing
  • Facebook Marketing
  • How To Use Twitter
  • PPC Strategies
  • Video Marketing
  • Prospecting – Cold Market, Warm Market
  • Mindset and Personal Growth
  • Product Reviews

You probably have enough content already written through your MLM blog posts so that you could create an amazing give away product for any of those niches. Or, if you are anything like me, you have 2 or 3 half written e-Books sitting on your computer that would only take a few days to finish. When you find a give away that interests you, check to see how much content you already have written focusing on that topic and create a product with it. This is a great way to repurpose your content, get it distributed in a big way and build your opt in list.

Here is what I did. I heard that Stephanie Mulac was running the “Ultimate Blogging Event Give Away” during the middle of August. I investigated the event and decided that it was worth contributing to (I have participated in a few of Stephanie’s events before and they are great).  I took my e-Book, “Dead Blogs Don’t Lie”, tweaked some of the information in it, signed myself up as a contributor, paid a really small upgrade fee to get my product featured, created an optin page and a thank you page on my MLM Blog, submitted my e-Book and promoted the event to my list and did a writeup about the event on my blog.

Here are my results. 671 new optins to my blogging list. Over 300 new connections on Facebook and Twitter. A dozen or so people have already emailed me with comments and questions about the material that I cover in the e-Book. Time invested in participating in this event, about 3 hours. Not to mention, my Alexa ranking has gone down by 10,000, I have added OVER 100 new subscribers to my MLM Blog readership and my bounce rate has dropped from 17.64% to 3.8%  – that is a REALLY SICK bounce rate btw 🙂 !

Here are my future plans. My goal with participating in this give away event is to ultimately convert the people on my blogging list into long term customers. So, I have a lot of additional blogging information that I am sending to them for FREE as part of my followup. I also have some great affiliate products that I am recommending to them sprinkled in those followup emails. I know that if I treat my new subscribers right by giving them so much value I blow their minds, I will have created MORE raving fans of what I do and life long customers that cannot imagine doing business with anyone else when they need the services that I offer.

I hope that you received some real value from this post! Be sure to leave your questions, comments and suggestions in the comments area. And take a minute to share this post with YOUR Tribe!! If you are interested in participating in a Give Away Event and need some help getting started, please let me know and I will give you a hand.

Two Popular Methods for Getting Free Traffic to Your MLM Blog

You’ve got your MLM blog up and running. Whether your blog is focused on promoting YOU as a leader and attractive sponsor, or your opportunity specifically, what you’re looking for is traffic. You want visitors who might be interested in what you have to offer.

I believe that the best way, long-term, to get free traffic online is through consistent and smart use of social media resources like Facebook. The drawback here is that it takes time to get on top of it and start establishing trust and authority on these sites. In the meantime, while you are building up your social media presence, how can you start getting more visitors to your site?

Many MLM business owners are drawn to free or inexpensive advertising methods such as traffic exchanges and safelist type programs. Since these have been around a long time and are appealing on the surface, I want to address the pros and cons of each.

Traffic Exchanges

Traffic exchanges are programs like Trafficswarm that allow you to earn credits by viewing web pages that other members have published. In turn, you can use these credits to get exposure for your own web page in the rotation. You also have the option for purchasing credits, which are usually cheap and save you hours of time clicking through to other members’ sites.

There is much debate about the effectiveness of traffic exchanges. The bottom line – they are not the most efficient way to get good MLM leads, but if you use them correctly, you can get leads using them. The key is understanding what most members are clicking away trying to accomplish in these programs.

People using traffic exchanges are shooting for one thing mainly – getting exposure for their site or offer. They may endure hours of clicking through sites, to build up credits, and barely notice the pages they land on. You can sit and read or do other things and occasionally click a link to visit another site and earn credits, without actually paying any real attention to it. It becomes robotic and automated after a while.

If you want to use traffic exchanges as part of your online MLM business strategy, the only chance you have to make it worthwhile is using them to build your mailing list. You need to create a free ebook or report on a topic that will appeal to people using these programs. Why are they there? To get more traffic and leads. So, offer a report or ebook on a topic like “Ten Steps to More MLM Traffic” or “Five Free Ways to Get Qualified MLM Leads Online“.

Make sense? Once you have the report, create a series of auto-responder messages and set up an account with an email list manager like Aweber. When someone opts in to your list, you can promote your opportunity to them in whatever manner you want (there are smart ways to do this that are beyond the scope of this article, but the bottom line is providing value to your subscribers and not trying to cram your opportunity down their throat with hype and hoopla).

Safelists

Safelists are programs that you sign up in and agree to receive emails from other members in exchange for being able to send emails to them. The catch with these is that you are quite limited in how much mailing you can do as a “free” member. You almost always have to do a paid upgrade to make it worthwhile.

The major drawback to safelist advertising is that you are facing the same problems you face with email marketing in general. Many participants will set up secondary email accounts for these programs that they rarely if ever check. Paid members may have an option to opt out of receiving any member emails. Nonetheless, there are some people who actually scan the subject lines and open the ones that look interesting.

If you choose to use safelist marketing, follow the same basic strategy as for traffic exchanges – focus on creating a giveaway and build your list. With both, work hard on creating a good headline that will attract attention.

The Bottom Line

I want to make it clear that I don’t particularly recommend using traffic exchanges and safelists for promoting your online MLM business. The reason I am writing about them is that I know some MLM marketers who do get decent leads this way, and I realize that many are drawn to them because they are free or inexpensive to advertise with.

Just remember that people who have real success with these methods do it by focusing on getting opt-ins to their list so they can stay in touch and drip information and promotions to them over time. Nobody will sign up for your list unless they think there is something valuable in it for them.

MLM Blogging – Here’s A Heaping Helping Of Spam Casserole For You !!

Imagine this … You know that I am a professional chef who cooks simply amazing, mouthwatering, wholesome organic food. I tell you about how I am going shopping for fresh, wild Alaskan salmon that was just flown into the Fulton Fish Market, the beautiful fresh herbs and roots I am going to buy from the best shop in Chinatown, the absolutely perfect, tender, yet very crisp baby greens and screaming fresh, totally organic veggies that I love buying at the Amish market in Union Square. I am going to grill that yummy salmon over cherry wood briquettes, accompany it with a light, fragrant lemongrass and ginger vinaigrette, all served over those crispy baby greens and lightly steamed crispy, crunchy veggies. Totally YUMMY !!

You are into all natural, all organic, super clean, super healthy food. WE are going to have dinner over at my house and you simply can’t wait to have some totally divine, super yummy, healthy food prepared for you by the Mistress of Gourmet Whole Organic Foods …. ME. You come over to my house, just about drooling already. You walk in the door and the smells are soooo tantalizing. Your tummy starts growling. We start chit-chatting over a nice glass of perfectly chilled Gewurztraminer and I excuse myself to bring the food from the kitchen.

You are STUNNED when you see the plate that I bring back to the table and put in front of you. STUNNED. Your jaw drops down … you start stuttering because you can’t believe you are actually seeing what you are looking at. I nonchalantly sit down at the table with you and I am ready to eat !!

“Rose, what is this?”

“Oh … I hope you don’t mind but I was crunched for time today, so I whipped up a totally tricked out version of Bavarian Carbonarra, I respond.”

“Ummm … what exactly is Bavarian Carbonarra?”, you ask.

Laughing I say, “Some people might call it Spam Casserole. I hope that you enjoy it. One of my Mom’s 1960’s revival recipes. It is almost an heirloom !! Bon Apetit !!”

Imagine my SHOCK when I get into work the next day and find out that you canceled your humongous Saturday night catering order with me. I try to connect with you to find out what is going on. NO ANSWER. For two days I try to connect with you to find out what happened. I am actually convinced that you had a family emergency and had to cancel your party. I have no idea what happened. I thought we had a good time at dinner the other day. We were laughing and joking … although you barely ate anything at all. Who knows … maybe YOU weren’t feeling well … You don’t come back to the store … so I never have the opportunity to find out what’s wrong from you.

A month later, a friend of mine, another whole food, organic caterer pops into the store. We are talking back and forth about business and life. She tells me thank you for sending her that catering  job that I couldn’t handle last month. I don’t have a clue what she is talking about and I tell her so.

“Oh you know … so and so … who is all about nothing but whole food and organic ingredients. She told me, that you told her, that some of the product that you got in for her party wasn’t up to her standards and that I would be able to take care of her better. So, thanks … she is shopping regularly at my store now and I am doing another party for her this weekend. Thanks for a great referral. Do you need some help getting really good products? My purveyors are AWESOME.  Well … got to run !!”

Talk about jaw dropping … pure and utter … SHOCK !!

MLM Bloggers Beware

A couple of weeks ago I wrote about CORE AUTHENTICTY and the importance of it when writing your posts. That little story above illustrates the absolute need for authenticity and congruency in EVERYTHING that you do through Social Networking and MLM Blogging is part of Social Networking.

If you portray yourself one way on your MLM Blog, Facebook, YouTube and Twitter and people fall in love with you, you simply cannot afford to do a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde when you email people that have opted into your email list. If people opt in to your list because they love what you are talking about and you are all about helping them, when you email them and all that you are doing is selling stuff … your stuff … other peoples stuff … they will opt out of your list never to be heard from again. You just blew your credibility with them forever. If you are lucky, they won’t report you for SPAM. If people are expecting one thing and you give them the complete opposite of what they were expecting, it really is SPAM.

As MLM Bloggers, we work too hard to build a list of people that are WILLING  to listen to what we have to say. Some people blog for YEARS in order to build a list of a couple of thousand subscribers. And, if those people are congruent with their “public” persona and their “email” persona, they have a lot of people CHOOSING to work with them in their MLM/Network Marketing opportunity. People feel like that person can be trusted. People feel that that person has integrity. People feel SAFE with them. And when people know you, like you and trust you … they do business with you.  It’s as simple as that.

If someone is teaching you that it is ok to email your list twice a day about some new THING that they should buy and they are not teaching you to segment your e-mail list, you will have serious problems. Your opt-out rate will skyrocket. And remember something, people talk. People talk about everyone and everything. And when people are feeling violated, they will tell EVERYONE they know about their horrible experience with you and how you are only in it to make money. They will tell other people to stay away from you and all of that hard work you did to create an awesome MLM blog will be flushed down the drain.

If you are not smart about how you market people will figure you out in a heartbeat. People are NOT stupid. And today, their BS-O-METERS start pinging faster than ever.

I recently heard an experienced network marketer tell people on a training call …

“Oh sure, I love people to death with the great information that I put on my blog so that they will optin to my list for more training. Sure, I send them some training. BUT once they are on my list, EVERY email that I send to them has an offer for them to buy something. And when I have a big promotion going on with some of my buddies, I email my whole  list AT LEAST twice a day… once early in the morning and once early in the evening. When I do that, sure I get people that opt out, but heck, that’s the cost of doing business on the internet. I am here to make money. They opted in, if they don’t like it, they can opt out.”

And, we wonder why people have such a bad opinion of internet network marketing and think that all internet network marketers are spammers.

We are all here to build our businesses and profit. We can do it with honor and integrity as MLM Bloggers by serving people in such a way that they FEEL GOOD about doing business with us. Our MLM Blogs are information and training portals that allow us teach what we know and to market products and services that will benefit our readers. The email lists that we are able to build through our MLM Blogging should be treated with the utmost respect, because those lists have EVERYTHING to do with us being able to be profitable business owners for a long time.

It is commonly said that the money is in the list. That is a LIE. The money is dependent on the quality of the relationships that you build and nurture over time with the people on that list.

By being congruent and authentic, we can serve the people that we are supposed to be serving. We can teach our teams to do the same thing. We can totally raise the standard of how people perceive internet network marketing through using ethical MLM Blogging and email practices. And we can build fabulous businesses for ourselves in the process !! When done correctly, you NEVER have to SELL a darn thing. People will voluntarily send wheelbarrows full of cash to you when the time is right for them.

Hope that you have received some AWESOME value from this post !!

==>P.S. It  really is appreciated when you share and retweet these posts. It’s easy to do, just hit the buttons right below this post  🙂

==>>P.P.S. The story that I told you is a slightly modified TRUE story. It is how the owner of the gourmet shop that I was consulting for lost half of her long time client base. She invited her best customers over to her house for dinner one night. She was always talking about eating healthy, light, top-quality organic food. The food she served that evening featured her favorite menu: BBQ Bay Back Ribs, 24 oz Prime Grilled Rib Eye Steaks, Buttermilk Fried Chicken, Velveeta Macaroni and Cheese, Cornbread with honey and butter, Slow Cooked Hocks and Collard Greens and Red Velvet Cake. Several of the guests found the Costco shopping bags in the trash in the kitchen. Sad but true, the owner of the store thought that everyone would appreciate having “real food” for a change and couldn’t understand why people were annoyed and stopped doing business with her.

MLM Blogging – Three Simple Tips To Improving Your MLM Blog Bounce Rate

Do you know what your MLM Blog’s Bounce Rate is? Should you even care what your bounce rate is? And three very simple tips to improving your bounce rate if it is too high !!

What exactly is “Bounce Rate”?

To give you the very best definition of what “bounce rate” is, I checked with my very best friend on the internet … Google.

Google defines “Bounce Rate” as:

…the percentage of single-page visits or visits in which the person left your site from the entrance (landing) page. Use this metric to measure visit quality – a high bounce rate generally indicates that site entrance pages aren’t relevant to your visitors. The more compelling your landing pages, the more visitors will stay on your site and convert. You can minimize bounce rates by tailoring landing pages to each keyword and ad that you run. Landing pages should provide the information and services that were promised in the ad copy.

Quick story …

Several months ago, I took George Fourie up on his offer to do a free blog critique for my Attraction Marketing Training Kitchen blog. At that time, my bounce rate was just about 46% which is considered pretty darn good for a blog. The folks that were finding their way to my blog liked what they were reading, and they were clicking through to other pages of the blog. They were spending about 5. 34 minutes total on my blog, reading my information. This really is a good number considering the fact that most people on the internet have what I call “Information Attention Deficit Disorder” and don’t give most things more than 1 minute of their attention.

Well, things changed over the following months. I was experimenting with different blog post styles, linking strategies, content, and a few other variables. My bounce rate actually increased to 67.8%. THAT was just terrible. People were hitting the front page of my blog, and they were clicking away from that page. They were not clicking on the links that I had incorporated into the blog posts. They were not clicking on other pages that I have on the blog. The average person was spending only 2.38 minutes on the blog. AND … my Alexa rank was taking a beating at the same time. I am using my blog as a communication tool, a relationship building tool, a list building tool and a sales tool. Instead of making progress, I was actually losing ground. It was time to really start using some metrics to fix this problem.

To learn more about MLM Blog Metrics and Management, you can read a three part series that I wrote earlier this summer for thatMLMbeat.com about the M & M’s of Your MLM Blog’s Effectiveness …

How Google Analytics, LinkWithIn, Blog Talk Radio and A New MLM Blogging Strategy SAVED My Blog

A picture is worth a THOUSAND words … two pictures are worth paying attention to 🙂

Here is a snapshot of my Google Analytics Account from May 29th, 2010

Here is a snapshot of my Google Analytics Account from July 31, 2010 …

The difference is ASTONISHING !!

Bounce Rate went from 66.99% to 17.64%

The number of VISITS doubled 300 to 600

The number of new visitors decreased from 58.33% to 46.61% which means that I increased the number of RETURN visitors to my blog by 14% … (my optins and sales numbers increased as well)

And … people are staying LONGER on my blog now …

Page views quadrupled … 532 >> 2,559

Pages per visit  more than doubled … 1.71 >> 4.23

Average time on my blog increased from …  3.15 minutes >>4.04 minutes

This all happened in 60 days !!

What Did I Change And What YOU Can Do To Improve YOUR MLM Blogging Results

I paid attention to the NUMBERS that I was getting from Google Analytics

There was obviously something that I was doing wrong. So I took a very detached look at the numbers.

  • People simply weren’t staying on my blog very long at all. WHY?

The way I had the information organized and presented was NOT very user friendly. I changed the layout and structure of the blog. I also decided to use a plugin that I learned about from Ty Tribble called LinkWithIn. Results improved right after I did that.

LinkWithIn shows people small thumbnail snapshots of related posts that they might also find relevant when they are finished with the post that they are reading. It WORKS. I  saw an immediate improvement in the amount of time people spent on my blog.

  • There were alot of new visitors coming to the blog but they weren’t digging into my content and my optins and sales were falling off. WHY?

Hate to admit to this one, but I had started blogging for ME rather than blogging for MY AUDIENCE … bad move on my part. I am a decent copywriter so I can write headlines that attract attention. I also do a good job with SEO so I can get really good organic rankings on Google pretty easily. But, what I had forgotten was that if the information that I am blogging about is NOT relevant to my readers’ expectations … they stop by … take a quick look … and they VANISH … never to be seen again. So I went back to blogging about “Attraction Marketing Training”, “Network Marketing”  and “Marketing Mindset Training”.  When I started giving my readers what THEY wanted to read about … they started coming back !!

  • Social Media Is HUGE and Using It Keeps People On Your Blog Longer

No question about it … using interactive social media on your blog is VITAL to getting people to stay on your blog longer. And, if you do  right, your BOUNCE RATE will DROP LIKE A STONE !! I am currently doing a special Summer 2010 Interview Series on Blogtalk Radio. I started blogging about the interviews BEFORE the actual interview … preselling the interview. Then, I blogged about the interview AFTER it was done. I included a link to the MP3 right in the blog post. The MP3 is hosted on my blog so that when people listen to the interview, and these interviews are 60 minutes in length, they STAY ON MY BLOG alot longer. The number of subscribers to my blog has increased by 20%, the number of optins to my e-newsletter has increased by 25 % and my sales volume has increased by 10%. Blogtalk Radio is a form of Social Media that alot of people are capitalizing on. If you are not using it, you should be.

Another really cool type of social media to use on your blog is VIDEO. People love short, quick videos. My YouTube Channel subscriber count has doubled since I have been using BlogTalk Radio. Coincidence … I don’t think so. Using video in your blog posts will naturally keep people on your blog LONGER because they are spending time to watch the video !!

By using the three strategies outlined above, you will be able to reduce the Bounce Rate of your MLM Blog.

Do you have a high or a low bounce rate? How has the bounce rate affected your blog? What methods did you find most efficient to reduce your bounce rate? If you have suggestions or want to discuss more about Bounce Rate please leave your comments.

I hope that you received some real value from this post! Be sure to leave your comments and suggestions in the comments area. And take a minute to share this post with YOUR Tribe!!

How to ‘Auto Blog’ in Facebook

As a network marketing blogger, it’s very important to get your content seen by as many people as possible in order to maximize your time and effort.

Syndication allows you to distribute your MLM blog content across the web so that when you update your blog, each of the places you’ve distributed your RSS feed to, will also be updated.

Over the last 2 years I’ve taken HUGE advantage of this feature on Facebook and not many other people know about it. (Until now 🙂

Did you know it’s actually possible to IMPORT your blog posts into your Facebook notes so that when you update your blog post, it automatically updates your Facebook notes and your full blog post will appear in your Facebook account.

Please Note: This is DIFFERENT from sharing your content as a status update

You can then tag your Facebook friends in your imported blog notes.

Check out the video below as I show you EXACTLY how to do it!

If you missed my recent The *Importance* of Personal MLM Video Messages on Facebook, I recommend checking it out, as it’s VERY powerful.

MLM Blogging – Awesome Blogging ROI = ME x YOU

“How You Do Anything Determines How You Do Everything ~ T. Harv Eker”… It really is all about “ME” and how I “BE” in the world.

Last week I did a post about the “attractiveness” of Core Authenticity in your MLM Blogging. That post “attracted” Faith Barnard. Faith is a very empowered Network Marketer who has been studying Ty Tribble’s MLM Blog Secrets and Blog Code and has gotten tremendous benefit from the course. Faith talks about all of the benefits that she has received from Ty’s course on HER blog and even takes HER conversation further by talking about “HEO” and the critical role that plays in effective MLM Blogging. Faith also  shot a video about what she learned from Ty’s course and put that on both her blog and her YouTube Channel. What impresses me about Faith is that she does what she recommends that everyone else do and that is VERY attractive to other people because it shows them that it CAN be done simply and easily.

Simple and easy duplication is a key ingredient to success in Network Marketing, MLM and MLM Blogging.

We all know that “perfect” duplication doesn’t exist. But, our job as leaders is to make sure that the “duplication” process happens as quickly and as often as possible within our teams. The quickest way to do that is to help the newest people on our teams gain clarity about what they have in their hands and help them move forward quickly.

For anyone that is considering “attraction based internet marketing” as a key building block in their business model, showing them how to do it quickly and easily is CRITICAL. Setting up an optimized, niche targeted blog is not difficult. Getting established properly on Facebook and Twitter is not difficult. Expanding outwards from there is not difficult. All of this can literally been done in a couple of weeks and then built upon over time. If this is something that you are encouraging your people to do, encourage them to work together as a team to help one another as you lead the way by showing, helping and supporting them.

MLM Blogging is a long-term investment into building a proper internet business presence. It does not happen overnight. It does not happen in 2 or 3 weeks. It usually takes about 3-4 months for an MLM Blog to get any sort of traction on the internet at all. And then another 6 months of disciplined blogging to start seeing results … and results are optins to an email list or sales that come about because of your blogging.

By working together as a blogging team, you can help shorten the amount of time it takes for traction and results to happen.

Awesome Blogging ROI = ME x YOU

Let’s take a look at what that equation means:

  • I write a blog post that has good, valuable content
  • I tell my team members about it
  • My team members comment on the post, they Facebook it, they Twitter it, they go to my YouTube Channel … etc
  • This is content syndication  – my information is multiplied by the number of people that push it our into their networks which gets more eyeballs on the information …. this is what Ty teaches and what the Tribe Syndication Association is all about
  • All of a sudden, new people OUTSIDE of the “syndicate” see the information and it gets distributed even further AND new relationships are started … a perfect example of this is what happened when Faith Barnard found my information, commented on it, then made mention of it on her blog and now I am recycling all of that “good karma” back to HER …
  • And everyone does the same for each other … the results are HUGE exposure, multiplication AND duplication … the Law of Reciprocity in full force … EVERYONE wins !!

Fundamentally this is very obvious and everyone “gets it”.

But my biggest question is, “Why, if so many people “get it”, don’t they do it?”

Ty Tribles’s results speak for themselves. I see too many Dead MLM Blogs out there … typically abandoned after just 90 days and that statistic doesn’t lie. People are bailing out on Facebook and Twitter “because they don’t work”. Don Crowther’s new information from Social Profit Formula states that Facebook has close to 500,000 million users ( if it were a country, it would be the third largest country in the world) and that if a six month plan of implementation is put in place, the results are astonishingly profitable. And, one of the keys to leveraging the power of  Social Networking is your blog.

With so many great blogging and social networking courses out there designed for all skill levels, with so many great services out there that provide a ready made “team” if someone doesn’t have one already, why do you think so many people are not capitalizing on the leverage blogging affords them?

MLM Blogging – Stylish, Smart, Sexy, Stimulating Core Authenticity

LESS is MORE, when you have the right props in place to support your intended outcome.

Why do you write your MLM blog? To get yourself out there on the net and become recognized as a “Brand”? To entice people to sign up as a subscriber or get them on your house email list so that you can build a relationship with them? To get ranked well on Google and create a large “Google Paper Trail” that validates you and what you say about yourself? To have people fall madly in love with you and your content so that it goes viral? To make money?

Think about the following scenarios for a bit and then relate them back to why MLM blogging is so important:

Think back to a time when you just met someone new at a party or some kind of function. This person appeared to be different. It almost felt like they had some sort of secret something going on and you couldn’t quite put your finger on what it was. But, nevertheless, you were drawn to them like a moth to a flame. You couldn’t stop trying to figure out what made them so attractive to you, why you felt they were almost magical, their silent call was that powerful. You were pulled right to them.

Now, think back to a time when you met someone and you INSTANTLY disliked them. Or you felt uncomfortable around them. Or you had the feeling that something with just off about them.  This person was very pleasant, dressed impeccably, said all of the right things, made all of the right moves. But, instinctively, you got a bad vibe from them and it repelled you.

What is the difference between those two people?

I believe that it comes down to CORE AUTHENTICITY.

People that are authentic at a core level are so comfortable with themselves, their future, their past, their mess, with exactly who they are, that they do not need anyone to validate their own value back to them. This is what makes them charismatic to others. They feel safe so people rush to be around them. They make people feel better so people like to be around them. And because so many other people are around them, more people come to join the crowd to see what’s going on.

People who are just going through the motions, who are not being honest at a core level leak their incongruency out. People FEEL it and respond to it viscerally. They are totally turned off by that person, regardless of what that person is outwardly expressing. When people are turned off, they leave. When others see the crowd thinning, they go away too. No one wants to be seen hanging around when there is nothing going on.

Core Authenticity Is Vital To The Success Of Your MLM Blogging

Core authenticity and how it relates to MLM Blogging.

Can people really feel YOU;  who you really are, what you stand for, what makes you YOU through your blog? Are you giving them enough really good content: blog posts, free reports, audios, videos, e-Newsletters, teleseminars to allow them to add their own innate imagination to the possibilities YOU bring to the party? Speaking straight from your heart allows  the right people to fall in love with the silent power of your unique song.

How self-aware are you?

  • Do you blog about your screw ups or only about your successes?
  • Do you share information about avoiding the pitfalls and perils that you have personally experienced?
  • Do you let your readers know how much you truly value them and always ask for their input so that you can serve them better?
  • Do you respond to the comments that people leave for you?
  • Do you publicly acknowledge people for their accomplishments or for value that they have provided you through your blog?
  • Do you regurgitate the same old stuff because it is a “hot topic”  and great for SEO or do you talk about the things that are important to your audience?
  • Do you know what your Unique Value Proposition is?

Who you BE ultimately determines how much you are actually able to sell. Your ability to authentically share what’s in your heart and your head IN-spires so much excitement in others that you get paid without selling anything at all.  People must be able to sell themselves on you first.

Hope that you have received some AWESOME value from this post !!

MLM Blogging – Independence Day 2010

Fireworks Rose Mis NYC

Many of the folks here in the US are celebrating Independence Day this long weekend. Fun, sun, beach, BBQ’s, fireworks, friends, family … My question is; How many people are truly celebrating INDEPENDENCE? FREEDOM? LIBERATION? or simply just a few days away from their boss, their job, the daily grind? And I am sure you are wondering what this has to do with being an MLM Blogger, right? Read on!

A Really Skinned Down Independence Day Refresher

In June 1776, the leaders of the American Revolution sat down to draw up the Declaration of independence. Those were rough times. The 13 original colonies were fighting for their freedom from England and her taxation without representation policies. Two of the most well known signers of the Declaration of Independence were Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin. They presented the final draft of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. It was on that day, the 13 colonies declared their independence from England and spoke a new nation into existence.

Was it easy for the new nation to maintain her freedom? Hardly. There ensued 8 years of of war, bloodshed, death, intense hardship; culminating in the British formally abandoning any claim to the US by signing the Treaty of Paris in 1783. During those long hard 8 years, the citizens of the 13 colonies stuck together, unified by certain truths

“that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights – Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness”

These folks were prepared to give everything they possessed, including their lives, and many of them did that, so that they, their families and their country could be FREE and INDEPENDENT,  to have a say and control over how their lives were going to be lived. By their very acts, generations of Americans have been able to live freely and independently. This lifestyle has gone on to inspire and ignite the possibility of freedom and autonomy for people in every corner of the world. Freedom is not free.  It comes with a price and we should all cherish and be grateful for what we have. America is VERY a special country.  And I love and honor her and all of the people that live here!

Let’s Take A Walk Together Down Main Street USA July 4, 2010

Lots of Main Streets all over the US are all gussied up for the 4th. Red, white and blue EVERYWHERE. If you take the time to look behind the banners and streamers, you will see lots of Mom and Pop shops boarded up and closed for business. Take the time to listen to the side conversations that people are having in between the music. You will hear words of FEAR and DESPERATION. You can see the stress that working 80, 90, 100+ hours a week is having on lots of folks, good folks. People are ANGRY and with good reason. The AMERICAN DREAM that our forefathers spoke into being all those many years ago is vaporizing right before everyone’s eyes.

“People don’t wake up and consciously decide to live little, weak, angry lives. They don’t decide to live a life of work-to-pay bills and be sad. THAT takes YEARS of trial and error!”

Your MLM Blog Is Your Internet Water-Cooler On The Freedom Trail

Have you ever worked anywhere that has a water-cooler? I have. Water-coolers are the working world’s social equivalent of a mini cocktail party. People go to the water-cooler to hang out and chit chat enjoying a quick ten minute respite from the phones, the boss, the inbox … whatever. They catch up with their peers and get all the juicy news. It usually is a lower stress point in the day. What happens when people start ratcheting up the stress level at the water cooler? Most folks will just turn around and walk right back to whatever stress filled situation they left to catch a break from for a couple of minutes.

Is your MLM Blog a fun water-cooler to be hanging out around? Or, is it one of those really high pressure places  that just makes people want to go back to their own misery and not even consider the possible FREEDOM you could offer them if only they could relax enough to read what you have to say? What if you could create an environment with your blog that was so much fun and served people so well that even those frightened, angry and confused people calmed down and truly engaged with you while reading your information.  What if you were able to HELP people see something outside of their current reality and they started dreaming again?

There is always a price for FREEDOM. YOUR freedom and mine depends on how many other people we serve well while they choose to travel along  with us on the Freedom Trail. We really do have to go the extra mile. We really do have to OVER-DELIVER on the “How can I best serve you today” part. People remember those kind of things. When we make life better for them, we get  “credit” deposited in our Freedom Fighter Account.  We also get a whole lot of know, like and trust points from those people. And the more of those that we have, the easier it becomes for those people to naturally follow and partner with us in whichever direction we go.

Take a look at what happened to England when she did not treat the Colonists as anything other than a revenue source. England did not listen, she did not respect and she did not serve the Colonists. She only demanded from them. And they resisted her mightily. The Colonists were prepared to DIE for the right to be FREE from England’s unfair treatment. England REPELLED the source of a significant portion of her income, while America was attracting more and more FREEDOM FIGHTERS. America opened her arms wide and said to the world,

“Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free. The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”

And they came … they are still coming !!

That’s how our MLM blogs should make people feel; safe, protected, comfortable and valued. Alexa rankings are great. SEO is important. Keywords are very important as well. But, the most critical thing about your mlm blog is HOW you make other people feel when they read what you write and how well they are served by the information you give them !!

Hope that you have received some AWESOME value from this post !!

I wish you and yours a FANTASTIC 4th of July ~ INDEPENDENCE ROCKS
