My thought is that for any long life business its vital that at any point in the cycle the prospects for newcomers is much the same. Viz the company offers a level playing field. Whilst it is possible that some form or market saturation could occur its probably unlikely that a high level of market penetration would occur.

Certainly there would be an element of the excuse involved here. But its clear that companies (or their reps) use the get in on the ground floor message to kick start startups etc. This may fuel the belief that its best to get in at the beginning.

I agree
Hype can certainly distort things. It is one thing to create ”buzz” and ”momentum” but, another thing to use hype based on unsound facts. It can show a lack of understanding toward vision, leadership and basic business principles.
