Chat to Text, Facebooks MLM Application, Get’s the Boot

There are a few MLM Business disappointments happening as we speak and Chat to Text would be the first on the list. Chat to Text, Facebook’s first MLM business application, got shut down yesterday.

Sorry to say, Chat to text didn’t last too long.

Some are sad, and according to chat to text hate mail, some are happy.

You might have received the standard invitation you receive when someone forwards their new Facebook application to you.

The applications purpose was to link your Facebook’s chat directly to your mobile phone. Nice? Maybe for some, personally I wouldn’t get much use out of it.

A legitimate MLM Business? Definitely, but unfortunately a violation of Facebooks Terms of use.

When I received the invitation, I admittedly went against my own advice about a New MLM prelaunch and had to try it out.

Why not? For $6 I felt uncomfortable not seeing this complete internet and network marketing strategy in action. Let’s face it that it’s probably the most powerful way to market any product with Facebook being the 2nd most popular site in the world.

They must have shut it down while I was in the process of signing up, as I was just about to approach step four, then this came up:

UPDATE – Facebook just shut down the application as of 9:42pm Eastern Time. Don’t worry, everyone that paid already will still receive their commission as per our agreement. But let’s get this back up and running…this is a way for ALL of us to make money. As you all know, MLM is legal and MLM works…this was exploding and Facebook may even have felt threatened by us.

Email Facebook to tell them this is a legitimate business model that doesn’t violate any terms. Read Facebook’s terms for yourself, ChatToText doesn’t violate ANY of them! Here is the email they sent, a 5-second copy/paste email:

Will Facebook give in and allow them to continue?

Who knows.

I have to wonder why they didn’t first seek Facebooks approval before launching chat to text. Surely they did their research and had their doubts?

Many top internet and network marketers have been the victims of having their Facebook accounts shut down for breaching the terms of use by exceeding their 5000 friend limit. Most of them have managed to get their accounts back.
