Pros of Social Networking Sites, 10 Core Sites for Strategic Social Marketing

Pros of Social Networking sites. Social networking websites have the tendency to alter your sleeping patterns. Sleeping? Okay, so when that actually happens after endless online hours of social networking, you either dream web 2.0 properties and other times there are mild nightmares. It’s challenging to absorb the ‘know how’ without feeling overwhelmed and getting everything systemized into a strategic social marketing plan of action.

With our network marketing blog taking great shape, BlogSuccess with its helping community have really kept us on track and we are almost ready to go full steam ahead with their extreme 60 day marketing plan.

On day one, Jack Humphrey discusses 10 core social marketing sites to focus on for exceptional traffic.

Here are 10 pros of social networking sites with excellent resources attached!

1. Facebook

The granddaddy of them all. According to Alexa rankings, Facebook is the 5th most popluar site in the world today. Facebook is the perfect place to develop relationships online and now boast with more than a 100 million users online. Unfortunately, to many marketers have adopted their tacky ‘MySpace Mentality’ in Facebook by pasting endless links on your profile wall. This makes anyone cringe. Lots of potential for marketing, if you are prepared to build relationships first. Best Resource will be Mari Smith, relationship and buzz marketing specialist. You will plenty of golden nuggets on her fan page.

2. Squidoo

There’s been plenty of debate’s whether Seth Godin’s (the king of marketing in my opinion) collection of half a million pages still delivers quality traffic after a not so recent Google Slap. But, like Seth mentions, Google is famous for rewarding pages that are worth while, so if you Squidoo lens provides quality content, Squidoo still Rocks. Check out Rena Klingenberg’s Squidoo Traffic Power lens for great tips.

3. Hubpages

Hubpages are relatively the same as Squidoo. Instead of a lens, you build a hub. Hubs with blatant affiliate promotions will not get approved. Only original, relevant content will cut it. Here is a step by step guide how to build a hubpage which also covers how you can make money with your hubpages.

4. StumbleUpon

This site rocks. Install the ‘stumble’ button on your firefox browser to vote sites a thumbs up or down, or simply bookmark a favorite while doing research on the fly. Here are 50+ Resources for Utilizing StumbleUpon Effectively.

5. Mashable

Mashable is the worlds largest blog to focus on all the web 2.0 and social networking news. Very popular amongst bloggers and social networkers with an influential demographic which increases daily.

6. Digg

Digg is a community-based social news site with a readership who is extremely tech savvy. You can submit your articles, blog posts, videos, pictures, etc and if the community ‘diggs’ it, you get, well, digged. If a link to your content gets submitted to Digg and gets voted for by the community, you can receive hundreds to even thousands of visitors in as little as minutes.

Dean Hunt’s content has been featured on the front page numerous times, visit dean hunts blog to download a free report and find out about the rabbits!:)

7. Technorati

Simply said, the Google of Blogs. Technorati was founded to help bloggers collect and share information for online global conversation. Technorati currently states it is tracking over 112.8 million blogs. Once you have sufficient content, you need to claim your blog with Technorati. A good idea is to let your friends and others favorite your blog with Technorati.

8. MyBlogLog

The key to global conversation throughout the blogosphere. MyBlogLog enables bloggers to talk amongst each other and learn about their readers by checking out their blogs and active communities. This generally made possible via a widget in the sidebar displaying your most recent visitors to your blog. MyBlogLog enhances your existing presence on the Web and ties it into communities of like-minded readers and bloggers, adding context to the conversations in which you take part.

9. Propeller

Several years back when Netscape.com was acquired by AOL, Netscape wanted to follow in Digg’s footsteps and added social news. So, Propeller was born. Propeller is a social news portal which, like Digg, is controlled by the popularity which is voted for by the community. Make sure your content is newsworthy and original when you submit to Propeller.

10. Mixx

Direct competitor of Digg who is receiving a lot of attention from CNN, who now adds a ‘mixx it’ buttons with all their content. A fun group of diversified personalities consisting of a ex-banker, a blackjack dealer, an ice skater, a self-professed geek and a rabid cricket fan. Be sure to add Mixx for strategic social marketing.

And of courseTwitter!

The list cant be complete without adding Twitter to the portfolio. Twitter’s microblogging 140 character conversations is taking over the web, literally. CoachDeb has created the ultimate guide to Twitter, so if you are still in the Dark about how Twitter works, download the TwitterHandBook. Don’t forget to follow thatMLMbeat on Twitter too!:)

Internet and Network Marketing Leaders Share These 7 Traits

If you interviewed 10 millionaires who are Network Marketing Leaders, you would have 10 different stories of how they achieved their level of success. They would however share these common denominators:

Sacrifice
Leaders in all walks of life have made it to the top in their industry because they sacrificed to get there. They had to decide what was more important. Was it watching TV, playing a game with their friends or was it staying focused on growing their business? Was it taking the summer off to vacation or to work so they would have the edge come “fall rush?”

Commitment
Leaders in all walks of life have made it to the top in their industry because they stayed committed to the end goal. They saw the big picture and aimed for it. They were committed to a bigger cause, something far bigger than themselves. Whether it was creating a dynasty for their family or achieving success with network marketing to show their family it was possible.

Work Ethics
Leaders in all walks of life have made it to the top in their industry because they are willing to do what the unsuccessful are not willing to do. They make one last phone call. They do one last appointment. They are willing to push harder than the average.

Personal Development
Leaders in all walks of life have made it to the top of in their industry because they always work harder on themselves than someone else. They know the importance of continually improving themselves. Leaders in the industry never stop learning. They go to every training event, conference call, or convention because they may learn something to give them the extra edge.

Never Give Up
Leaders in all walks of life have made it to the top in their industry because they never gave up. You will find many leaders were simply ordinary people but through time they learned to be extraordinary leaders. They had time on their side. The only way to fail in business is to quit!

Extreme Discipline
Leaders in all walks of life have made it to the top in their industry because they were disciplined on the basics. They made more phone calls, set more appointments, had more enrollments and developed more leaders than the average. Those are the successful internet and network marketers.

Failing Your Way to Success
Leaders in all walks of life have made it to the top in their industry because they failed more than anyone else. That’s right! You will hear incredible stories of failure which led to paramount success. Almost every millionaire’s story will talk about the failures they had which led to the crazy success they have today. It’s very rare you find a millionaire who has not had stories of failure. They simply kept failing forward.

Lastly, the trait which is a part of all the 7 traits of successful internet and network marketing leaders:

ACTION!
Nothing happens until you simply just do it! No excuses, no if’s, no but’s. Put aside all the quick fix solutions that distract you from your goals and commit to taking action today.

We said 7 and here are 8. Can you think of any more traits of successful internet and network marketing leaders?

Master This and Your MLM Downline Will Explode

Ask any top producing network marketer what their major network marketing secret is to success and you are bound to get the same answer. This key principle has been the universal success law with traditional multi level marketing and the new school of internet and network marketing. We all know what it is, but blatantly choose to ignore it at times.

Quite simply, it’s Simplicity.

Yes, simplicity is the key. But if that’s so obvious and easy, why do we make things so complicated?

Internet and Network Marketing can be a very simple business, but keeping it simple doesn’t mean hard work is not involved. One of the most common mistakes is people make it complicated.

Even if a complex system achieved great results for you, others will find it difficult to duplicate. In Internet and Network Marketing, personal success is not your greatest asset. Your greatest asset is having a MLM System that guarantees the network marketing success of everyone using it.

The success of others, and your success, is dependent upon their ability to do the same thing you do. Keep the least experienced of those in your network in mind when you set up a MLM System of doing things for your organization to follow.

Everything you do must be simple enough so everyone can quickly duplicate your efforts and achieve the same phenomenal results as you.

In Internet and Network Marketing, you should not do things that require special skills, resources which are available only to you or to a limited number of people.

Open up your business to a much larger pool of people who can become successful. You need to build your network as quickly as possible. Since you can only meet with a few people each day and can personally sponsor a few people, you need to use an MLM System where you can quickly help others learn to do the same simple things as you. When they do, they multiply your efforts.

Go for the same phenomenal results. This is quality duplication. Each person in your Internet and Network Marketing business, from top to bottom, must be able to duplicate what you are doing and be able to teach others to do exactly the same thing. How large a sales team you can build depends on how well it is duplicated. To ensure duplication, you need a system or processes anybody and everybody can follow and teach.

You cannot duplicate a person, but you can duplicate a system.

In building a successful and long-term network, the MLM System must rule. Remember a system is only as good as it is duplicated. The more complex a system, the less likely quality duplication will be achieved. To make sure you duplicate well, follow the network marketing system you are provided with religiously.

There is no perfect MLM system and your time is better spent perfecting your ability to duplicate it rather than perfecting a system.

Take this example: Ray Krocs, the founder of McDonald’s cannot be duplicated but the McDonald’s franchise system can be and is, to almost 100% perfection in 18,000 outlets worldwide.

Keeping it simple.

To ensure you do things your distributor can learn from and duplicate.

With everything that you do, always ask yourself the following 2 questions:

- Is what I am doing easy to duplicate?

- Is it simple enough to be duplicated?

If you answer “yes” at least 75 % of the time, you are on the right track.

The most successful people in Internet and Network Marketing Business understands everything must be kept simple in order to grow your business.

Show others how simple it is to do what you do. They need to see you do it, and then believe it is simple enough for them to quickly duplicate to achieve the same good results in your MLM Business.

Is Your Internet Network Marketing Business Systemized For Success?

If you want to get to a diamond mine in your internet network marketing business, you must first find a map with the directions and take hold of it! It is a fact that whatever you desire to achieve has already been accomplished by others. So if someone else (or many people) has gone before you and accomplished network marketing success, then your job is to seek out the information on how they did it. Don’t waste time reinventing the wheel or redrawing the map.

In business, step-by-step directions are usually referred to as “The System,” and you can use it to pursue any dream or endeavor. Using a system is vitally important in your pursuit to succeed in your internet network marketing business.

According to Michael Gerber, author of “The E-Myth”: “Systems permit ordinary people to achieve extraordinary results, predictably. However, without a system, even extraordinary people find it difficult to predictably achieve even ordinary results.”

Can you see why a system is so crucial to having a successful home business and why you need to get your hands on a MLM system that will work for you?

A good example of a proven successful business system is McDonalds. People are willing to pay millions of dollars just for the opportunity to open a franchise with them, even though they know they will have to work very hard and more than likely not make money fast, not until after the first few years. They do not embrace this because the hamburgers are so good; but rather because “the system” has been proven and is very successful!

Find and follow the charted course that has been proven for the goals you desire to achieve and you will succeed. If someone has already done it, all you need to do is model, or duplicate what they did and network marketing success is in the bag. This doesn’t mean that you have to stifle your own creativity or original thinking, just realize that your creative thinking is best built upon the basic, tried, and proven marketing strategies for success.

Find a mentor or a network marketing coach who has already been successful using a system to produce results similar to your goals and then let them SHOW you the way and then UTILIZE it! Staying focused on that roadmap will dramatically cut your learning curve and produce results in a lot less time than if you tried to re-invent the wheel.

You can easily learn from some of the most successful people conveniently. Put books, seminars, the Internet, and video and audio programs to work for you and get that plan of action in place and you are positioned for success. What’s left? With the map in hand, move to action.

The 6 Minute Video Blog Post with Video Utility Poster

Jack Humphrey, from Friday Traffic Report and author of The Authority Black Book, launched the Video Utility Poster several months ago.

Today, pressed for time, I decided to give it a go on our network marketing blog.

So, this is a real short post about making a really cool, short, content rich post. Go figure!

Why Your Internet Network Marketing Website Sucks

Internet Network Marketing Website SucksHave you realized that nobody’s joining your internet network marketing opportunity after visiting your website?

What’s worse, do you even know if they checked it out like they said they did in the first place?

Network Marketing companies generally give you direct access to their corporate “it’s-all-about-us” website, or, one notch up, you get your very own personalized version of that same website.

On face value, it looks great. All your network marketing company’s information is right there: Company history, the famous CEO on the cover of Success Magazine (so what?), how you can earn a six figure income, pictures of happy families “selling the dream” and even a 7 minute sizzle movie.

Yet, no sign ups. How can this be?

Well, let’s face it: Your internet network marketing website is useless, it sucks!

Now don’t get me wrong, these websites have a purpose, yes, but not when you choose to build your network marketing business on the internet. They provide everything you want as a network marketing distributor.

Problem is: you have already signed up.

Unfortunately, the network marketing professionals who were invited to the board meeting for the design and layout, still had the “make a list of your friends and family” in mind.

Nothing wrong with that strategy, but applying those principles online is like mixing oil and water. It simply won’t happen.

So What’s the Solution?

The perfect internet network marketing website is not just a website, but a complete front to back, universal marketing and management system. Whether your company provides this platform or if you use a universal system, here are 7 crucial components to look out for:

1. A landing page which captures data (lead capture page).
You have split seconds to grab your visitor’s attention or they hit the back button and say goodbye. If your landing page doesn’t do that, the rest of these points are irrelevant. Your business goals and intentions should be clear: to collect contact information. Backed with an attention grabbing headline, enough credibility, professional design, simple layout, easy navigation, powerful benefit statements and creating enough curiosity to abide by the strong call to action.
Multimedia, audio or a live actor will also increase your conversions, ensuring that you cater for all 3 learning styles of visual, auditory and kinesthetic.

2. An automated follow up email campaign which alerts you every time they return.
Unless you plan on quadrupling your workload, you need a system which can do most of the follow up work for you. People will hardly ever commit to a purchase on any website on the first visit. Statistically, it takes 7 – 10 follow up emails before the relationship is established and they are ready to join your network marketing opportunity. A strong email campaign which tracks visitor activity takes care of that.

3. Explains the benefits of owning a network marketing business.
By educating your prospect about network marketing first, your system can sort through prospects for you. That way you only follow up with people who are truly interested in your product or network marketing opportunity. This removes the initial rejection factor that causes 95% of people to struggle.

4. Introduces you and allows you to tell your story.
The more automated and high-tech systems get, the more we crave high-touch, relationships and real connections. People join people, not opportunities. Network marketing always was and always will be a relationship based business. Fortunately, the tools have changed and make it easier, but your prospects need to see who is behind your internet network marketing website.

5. Automated management and training for your new team members.
Once they have signed up, will you need to spend countless hours educating them about your business AND your system, or will the system handle that for you? People don’t duplicate, but systems do.

6. Supplies you with an endless source of people to contact AND drives them to your internet network marketing website.
This is a rare benefit. All network marketers should be committed to learning the art of personal lead generation. But what do you do when you just get started, especially when starting your network marketing business on a part time basis? If your prospects are being supplied, qualified, educated about the industry and get sent directly to your website, your chances of early success have just tripled.

7. A complete contact manager keeping track of all your prospects, hot prospects and new team members.
Once your network marketing business starts booming, your personal diary you got from under the Christmas tree simply won’t cut it. To manage your time effectively, you need a back office which records all contacts made and actions taken by your prospect. It’s simply impossible to remember all your prospects families, occupations, hobbies and life goals (their why).

Some websites and universal marketing systems will have more or less features as mentioned above. Although your success is more dependent on your ambition, mindset and vision, a system which matches all the criteria above rates in my books as the perfect website for internet network marketing.
