Are You the ‘Dr. House’ of Your MLM Business?

Are you the ‘my way or the high way’ who is always in control, gains instant authority and has your prospects sign up in a heart beat by the command of your voice? When you speak, they listen and ‘getting it done’ seems to be your middle name? As previously discussed in 4 personality types, you are the Dominant Type.

The Dominant Type
About 10% of the 4 personality types are dominant. If you are one yourself or are dealing with a “Dominant Type” personality, what can you do to improve your overall communication effectiveness? Here are some details about the Dominant type personality to understand first.

What Types of Careers Are Fitting For Dominant Types?

• Entrepreneurs
• Business Owners
• Supervisors and Managers

What Do Dominant Types Like? Dominant types like action directed towards goals. They like to see activity, change, healthy discussions and getting things done. They are very goal oriented, self confident and can complete huge amounts of work in record time.

What Could Be An Issue? Taken to extremes the dominant type behavior can turn a results oriented Dr. House into a pushy or even rude Dr. House. Self confident as he is his colleagues often comment on his arrogance and conceited behavior. He always gets the job done but is sometimes extremely abrasive and ruthless in his approach.

“Why is this bad” asks the dominant type? Because it alienates others and the dominant can lose support for getting the job done.

Room for Improvement
If you are a dominant in a quest to get things done, remember that you can accomplish more with the help of others so make it a goal to improve your interactions with those you work with. Occasionally let others voice their opinions and try to be patient when things don’t go as quickly as you’d like.

Working With A Dominant Type
If you’d like to be admired by the Dominant type, ask him a few challenging questions and act outwardly impressed by his answers. Nod approvingly at his always correct comments and you will earn the respect of the Dominant type. False modesty or awe will not fool the dominant type but he might not let on he knows you are acting. So if possible keep it sincere.

Knowing how much of each of the 4 personality types make up your personality, better prepares you to understand and communicate with everyone and make progress in your network marketing business. Recognize the traits of others and learn the best ways to communicate with them. Good luck in your self-studies.
