Are you letting time and self-management skills hold you back from having MLM success?
While doing some unpleasant tasks today and sitting in waiting rooms – I wondered how many of us are not using our time effectively.
It is a known fact most of us often keep hundreds of hours of undone stuff in our minds, on scrap paper or on our computer. Would you admit you could use better time self-management skills? While a calendar or a clock can give us a measure of time, it doesn’t provide us with a larger perspective needed for greater success—to develop and use better time self-management skills.
Are there times when you feel you are running around like a chicken with its head cut off—not knowing what you should do next? I know I’ve been guilty more than once.
If you put a time management system in place you can get more accomplished in a day. Those who don’t have a time management system in place can get upset at the slightest change. Having a time self-management system in place can also help to reduce personal stress and feeling overwhelmed, where instead you will have better focus and be in control.
Do you have poor time self-management skills? “Yes”, “Some”, “Maybe”, “No”.
90% of those interviewed admitted they had “little to a lot” of time self-management problems.
When was the last time you analyzed how you are spending your time? Is it productive?
Here are 16 time self-management tools you can choose from to help you have better time self-management skills?

Great advice, I am guilty as charged. I think managing your time effectively is the hardest thing to do when you are working for yourself.
Absolutely Rebecca – Managing time when you’re self-employed is the hardest thing to do because it is so much easier to procrastinate. I have been working from home for a number of years and what has worked for me is scheduling time to complete certain daily tasks. This leaves the rest of my time pretty flexible.
Thanks Rebecca for stopping by and I wish you much success with your business. Cheers.
Joyce
Thanks Joyce for such a nice article. I really liked your suggestion on utilizing the time we waste. Also its nice that you have mentioned the tools to use for managing our projects.
Also would like to suggest a good tool for managing our work online.
I am using DeskAway (http://www.deskaway.com) for managing my stuff. It provides additional features like email reminders, calendar, contacts, etc.
So I do not have use other tools for managing the extra stuff!
I’ve said it before on another post, basecamp and backpack should be integrated. A lot of Project Managers using basecamp also use backpack, and say they should be both be integrated in one, coherent product.
@lisa thank you for such a nice compliment and for the tip on DeskAway. I will definitely check it out and add it to the next list.
I also try to take audio books with me when driving long distance to listen to as I never seem to have the “time” to sit and read. Maybe I’ll do a post on the “must-read or listen to books for success”.
Check back and thanks again Lisa for stopping by.
@ PM Hut
